Update: Enabled by Design-athon

It’s hard to believe that it’s only been a week since launching the Enabled by Design-athon; we’ve had an absolutely fantastic response (including being featured by Design Week and sugru) and an overwhelming number of people have already expressed their interest in getting involved. To say that we’re just a little bit excited, would be the understatement of the century!

The Enabled by Design-athon will take place on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd November 2012 at Ravensbourne. Due to venue capacity numbers are restricted, so we’re currently working hard behind the scenes to get just the right balance of skills (3D modellers, facilitators, sketchers etc) and people from the following backgrounds: members of the Enabled by Design community who can share their experiences and views on independent living, designers / engineers, people interested in health / social care, retailers and manufacturers.

If you’re interested in taking part in the Enabled by Design-athon, it’s not too late to put your name forward here. And if you’ve already expressed your interest on Eventbrite, then we will be emailing you shortly to find out more about you and your experience / skills, before sending out individual invites. Sadly we’re unable to guarantee everyone who has registered their interest will receive an invite, but we will do our very best to keep people posted about any spaces that do become available.
