Mobility scooter with baby seat

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Is it legal? Who could do an adaptation for me? I can't believe no-one has ever tried this - I mean, you get those baby/child seats on the backs of bikes.

I have not seen anything like that. I have found out about the wheelchair baby carrier, though. http://www.dppi.org.uk/journal/5354/resources.html

is this the kind of thing you mean? http://www.remap-internet.org.uk/remapedia/tiki-index.php?page=Wheelchair+baby+carrier

Thanks guys - I've seen those wheelchair baby carrier ideas before, but I don't use a wheelchair (or not on a daily basis, anyway), so I'm after a safe way for a baby to ride on a mobility scooter. The people who did those wheelchair adaptations might have some ideas, actually. I'll see if I can get in touch with them.

Do you still wish to take this idea further? I've worked on numerous wheelchair and quad bike projects in the past as well as baby products in the home so might be able to help.

Hi, My husband and I are trying for a baby, but i am disabled and use a scooter or wheelchair to get around. We want to have a child seat that attaches to my scooter and still leaves my arms free to steer etc. If anyone has any ideas, we would be very interested in hearing them. Thanks!
