I was interested to see this concept for a tilting sink basin, designed by Gwenole Gasnier, which can be adjusted to suit an individual’s height and needs.

Tilting sink basin in upright and tilted position
It looks like the contemporary sink basin rests on top of a table-like unit and can either sit in a horizontal position (left image – suited to standing adults) or be tilted at an angle towards the person using it (right image – suited to seated adults and smaller people) and subsequently locked in place. The table-like unit should also mean that wheelchair users are able to manoeuvre to get as close to the sink basin as possible when using it.
I’d definitely like to see this concept developed further to see it being used in a real life setting and by a range of people too…

Could be ace, or folk could end up with very wet legs!
Would definitely like to see it in use & by a range of people, to get a better idea of how well it would work : )

Indeed! If you hear of anyone using it let us know; I will keep an eye out too!
Afraid it’s only a concept at the moment, but if I hear anything about further development, will let you know…
Interesting concept but I wonder just how much water could be contained without spilling when it’s in the tilted position.
