One of my close uni friends has recently had a baby and I was lucky enough to go and visit them both yesterday. While I was there, I was most impressed with the sausage-like cushion she was using to support the baby during feeding. But this was no ordinary V-shaped pillow, it was more of a long beanbag filled with lots of tiny, soft beads that can mould around you to provide the necessary support. The cushion is extremely versatile and can also be modified by adding extra beads (bought separately) to change the level of support available.
I have poor core stability and my back is particularly weak, so a cushion like this would be perfect for helping me to sit more upright and improve my posture. I tried out sitting with the cushion curled around my back with my arms resting on the ends while sitting on the sofa, where I’m prone to slouching. It really did give my back the extra support that it needs and it’s so comfortable! I reckon it would be good for supporting my back and neck while reading in bed too. For me the only down side is that the cushion covers don’t come in a
wide variety of designs or colours, but I’m sure the neutral one will do
just fine.
Well, I’m sold so all I’ve got to do now is go and buy myself one…

I’ve had a quick look around on the internet and you can buy one from John Lewis. It doesn’t come cheap, so I’d say it’s definitely an investment buy.

While this one is nice, My wife and daughter got me what is called a "Baby Boppie" its a circle pillow with room for your head in it. Its made for the baby to lay in in the floor. I Will get a pic but I found it to be amazing for the nights when my neck or back are bothering me.
