Not sure whether this is intended as a kill or cure, but it is a beautifully designed little pop up book looking at all your ‘favourite’ phobias.
Found over on Fubiz’s site (the video is well worth a watch) http://www.fubiz.net/2009/11/26/the-pop-up-book-of-phobias

The Pop-up Book of Phobias

OMG, I cannot believe it: my mother-in-law has this book (or maybe an older version / edition) on her bookshelf. It is such a coincidence that you mention it just a few days after I noticed it…
It is indeed a lovely book but, as you say Dominic, I’m not sure whether the book is intended as a kill or a cure. Maybe just as a source of inspiration for some fears we start having
How weird!
I love it either way
My wife is a counsellor who works with people with phobias. I wonder if it could be used for de-sensitisation programmes? This is a technique where you expose someone who’s phobic in a very gradual way to the triggers that produce phobic anxiety. Then you gradually increase the intensity of exposure events so that they become desensitised to to the fear. It works in most cases. I’ll ask her and get back to you.
That’s a great idea! Would be really interested to hear whether it would work in practice…
