Right this is not going on my keyring! I go to the O2 stadium quite a bit and noticed they operate disabled toilets that are only accessed by a RADAR key – so I ordered one from the internet. The key a is massive chunk of metal that is capable of causing internal injury should you put you keys in your pocket. I understand that some of use suffer from weak grips, dexterity – me being one of them but surely they could have given the size and design a simple thought. It looks right out of place next to my Ferrari key LOL :0))

RADAR Key

Daft isn’t it? And quite an antiquated design. You could get a copy made by a locksmith so it fits on the keyring easier. Not sure if RADAR would be very pleased tho.
I have to disagree with this Hate. I think I Love my Radar Key, not because it looks great, but because it’s so easy to find in my handbag. It’s on a Huge keyring which helps! I also find it to easy to use, whereas I can’t use an ordinary size key at all. The only gripe I have is that it doesn’t work in all EU countries – hopefully that will change in time!
Well I think they are great! Stops the toilets being used for sex, drugs and anything else by non-disabled people. Could be a bit smaller, we used a different style one on Tenerife that looked like a Yale key.
Hi again – i totallly understand that first and foremost that a product must be suitable for use. I couldnt agree more that the RADAR access system is very good – keeps everyone out of the disabled access toilets that shouldnt be there. I was just saying I hated the design and it didnt work for me. Smiler
I wouldn’t be without my radar key…..is a brilliant scheme. I do however agree with smiler. I think Radar should have two types of keys one that is for those with dexterity problems and one that looks normal so it fits on your keyring!
Would a key cutter be able to reshape the handle? I might ask in my local shop!
RADAR will be selling a genuine key with the normal head in the new year when their website is updated. They are already available in quantities of 10 or more from http://www.radarkeys.org
Keys cut at heel bars or off ebay often will not work in the lock, so best to be a little bit patient or get together with a few friends.
