I find my long shoehorn with a hook on the end very useful, particularly for getting boots on. The hook on the end also comes in handy!

If the hook was the other way round, i.e. curving upwards, one could use it to reach out hangers from the upper rails in the wardrobe. And a fabric / leather lace could be attached to allow for the shoehorn to still be "hangable".
Just a thought.
Long handled shoehorns are great – really quite versatile – not just for shoes and boots – also for getting clothes on and off (use like a dressing stick). You can get them in different lengths and there is an all plastic version though this tends to be bright yellow. It would nice to see more variety in the colours/designs that they come in and a more ergonomic grip for folk that find this useful – I bet someone’s already applied SUGRU to sorting this problem.
