I spotted this on a friend when I was recently in America and thought it was great. As good as a cast but able to take it off and not have to struggle with keeping it dry etc. Would be good if they were more common in the UK.

Great idea – yep. I had to wear one of those for 2 months last year after major foot operation. Most foot surgeons use them in the UK now. Draw backs are that they pong if the lining isn’t washed every day, also they are a nightmare to sleep in. On the plus side you look like a storm trooper from Star Wars which can’t be all that bad.
