It’s now less than two weeks until the Enabled by Design-athon and we can finally reveal the agenda for two jam-packed days of presentations, prototyping and participation all under one roof. Enjoy!

 

Enabled by Design-athon Agenda (subject to change)

 

Venue: Ravensbourne, 6 Penrose Way, Greenwich Peninsula, London, SE10 0EW

 

Day One – Friday 2nd November 2012

9.30 am  Tea / Coffee & registration

10.00 am  Welcome and introduction

10.05 am  Denise Stephens (AKA @enabledby), Founder of Enabled by Design

10.20 am  James Carrigan (from @sugru), Co-founder of sugru and Fixperts including activity

10.40 am  Tom Hulme (AKA @thulme), Design Director IDEO and Founder OpenIDEO 

10.55 am  Usability activity

11.10 am  Robin Wilson (from @innovate_UK), Lead Technologist, High Value Manufacturing, Technology Strategy Board

11.25 am  Rob Phillips (AKA @rob_dphillips), Product Designer and PhD candidate in open design and application at Brunel University

11.40 am  Enabled by Design-athon Video

11.50 am  Break in programme

12.00 pm  Enabled by Design-athon – details to be revealed on the day

1.00 pm  Lunch

2.00 pm  Enabled by Design-athon cont’d - details to be revealed on the day

5.00 pm  Close of event with opportunity to stay and continue with projects until 10.30 pm

 

Day Two – Saturday 3rd November 2012

9.00 am onwards  Tea /Coffee with teams continuing work on projects

12.30 pm  Lunch

1.30 pm  Show and Tell session

3.30 pm  Judging panel to discuss & choose favourite projects / Tea & Coffee

3.45 pm  Favourite projects announced & sum up

4.00 pm  Close (followed by drinks at nearby venue)

 

We hope to see you there (don’t forget this is a ticketed event), but don’t worry if you’re unable to make it, we’ll be doing our best to capture as much of the event as possible through films, photos etc which we’ll be sharing on the Enabled by Design website at a later date, so watch this space! : )
