Enabled by Design logoRoll up, roll up, come and get your tickets for the universal design event of the year…

Enabled by Design has been busy beavering away organising an event to reframe the ageing/disability debate by looking at how universal design can help support independent (and stylish!) living. The event is called “We are Enabled by Design” and you can read more about it here.

Design Museum building
We’ve booked the venue: Design Museum, London and we’ve managed to bag ourselves some fantastic keynote speakers: Wayne Hemingway and Charles Leadbeater, so all we’ve got to do now is get going on spreading the word, so that’s where you come in! To make this a stimulating event with plenty to talk about, we’re keen to get a wide range of people taking part, including service users, designers, technologists, health and social care professionals, third sector organisations and charities.

What: “We are Enabled by Design” unconference
Where: Design Museum, Shad Thames, London, SE1 2YD
When: Thursday 17th June 2010 (9.30am for 10am start – 4.30pm)

Brit Insurance Designs of the Year 2010

Of course, we wanted to ensure that a real mix of people could come along and join in the lively debate, but after giving it a lot of thought we decided to charge a nominal fee for the day to help cover costs and no more. We hope you understand!

Tickets are £10 and cover attendance at the event, a buffet lunch, refreshments and entrance to the current Design Museum exhibitions including the Brit Insurance Designs 2010 showcase, so well worth the pennies! : )

Tickets are now available here, so sign up to join us for the day.

Be there or be square!
